Anxiety Rising

image

I practice stillness inside roiling anxiety.

Fear sloshes against my face.

The rhythm that the waves pound out…

What if? What if? What if? What if?

Drowning out all other sounds.

I close my eyes and concentrate.

Firmly planting in the Now.

I don’t engage the questions here.

They do not matter anyhow.
